How to Make Your Own London Fog (Tea Latte)

In Tea Recipes by teadog.com0 Comments

You may have had a London Fog at Teavana.  But, now that the chain is closing, you can make your own.

London Fog is also known as a Tea Latte.  The London Fog specifically uses an Earl Grey Tea. If you are going to make this, make sure to use an Earl Grey you really like.  If you want a strong Earl Grey, which will make a strong London Fog, try a tea like Williamson Earl Grey.  For a more mild Earl Grey, try a tea similar to Whittard Earl Grey.

Before you begin, gather these ingredients, milk, vanilla extract and Earl Grey Tea Bag. If you take sugar in your tea, get that as well.  The measurements in this drink can be altered. If you want to use more earl grey or less milk or more vanilla, definitely try it.

First, make a cup of Earl Grey Tea.  But, you will need the tea to be more intense than usual. So, use only a 1/4 cup of water to make the tea.   Let the tea steep for 3 to 5 minutes, but at least 3 minutes.

Next, get 1/2 cup of milk.  warm the milk. Make the milk as hot as you like.

Then, combine the tea and milk.    Add 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the mix.  At the point, taste it.   You may find it is sweet enough and dont need to add sugar. Or, maybe you can add less.

Finally, drink and enjoy.
