Guinness World Tea Records: World’s Oldest Tea Leaves

All this week, we are looking at Guinness World Record related to tea.  This next item add a bit of history to the world record.  The World Record for the oldest tea leaves in over 2,100 years old.

The leaves were found along with treasure buried in the tomb of Emperor Liu Qi. Scientists date the years to ensure the period in history the leaves were from.   Currently, the tea leaves can be seen at the Han Yang Ling Museum in China.
