Dilmah Sponsors Sri Lanka National Blind Cricket Team

From April 3 to 10, 2016, the Sri Lanka National Blind Cricket will be playing in a tour of Pakistan.  Dilmah Tea sponsored the team and paid for its uniforms.

All of the team’s players are either partially sighted, partially blind or totaly blind.  The team was not able to get a sponsor until Dilmah helped.

Since 2007, through its MJF Charitable Foundation, Dilmah has sponsored the Sri Lanka Cricket Association of the Visually Handicapped.  Plus, the MJF Charitable Foundation has supported the blind cricket team of the Moneragala Deaf and Blind School. The school has one of country’s best blind cricket teams and regularly has members on the national team.
