Fans of Typhoo Tea will be glad to note that the company has seen strong growth in the most recent fiscal year with sales at £75.2m (or $118.9), up 6.2% on the previous year. The Typhoo Tea brand has increased sales in a declining tea market. The company decreased the financial losses it has suffered recently to £2.2m (or $3.5m).
According to Typhoo, the growth was set against a tea market that declined 1.6%. The company said the growth was due to the new tv advertising campaign featuring Ben Fogle. Additionally, Typhoo reinvigorated its distinctive red packaging and re-emphasized its “you only get an ‘oo’ with Typhoo” slogan.
