Bewley’s Tea Win At 2009 Great Taste Awards

Bewley’s Tea of Ireland recently won 3 Gold Medals in the 2009 Great Taste Awards.

Bewley’s Gold won a 2 Star Gold Award in the Blended tea category. Bewley’s Green Blend (a black tea) won Bewley’s Special Reserve Fairtrade Tea each won a 1 Star Gold Award.  Known as the food world’s Oscars, the Great Taste Awards are produced by the Guild of Fine Foods. Foods are judges by fine food retailers, chefs, restaurant critics, food writer and other experts.

Mark Saunders of Bewley’s said “We source our tea from Kenya, China, India, Sri Lanka and Indonesia, selecting only the finest teas, based on leaf appearance and infusion qualities such as flavour, colour, strength and briskness. Then our Master Blender creates the award-winning blend of tea in Dublin for Irish consumers.”
