Study Testing If Green Tea Can Help Against Cervical Cancer

Green Tea is known for its health benefits. But can it help stop cervical cancer? Researchers are trying to find the answer to this question.

A study at the Arizona Cancer Center in Tucson are trying to determine the effect of green tea extract on viruses causing cervical cancer.

The study is sponsored by the Division of Cancer Prevention at the National Cancer Institute.

In the study, over 4 months, subjects take a daily green tea extract or placebo. Researchers hope that green tea extract will destroy the virus before it can lead to cervical cancer.
